John Sullivan, a left-wing agitator, was paid $70,000 by CNN and NBC for his footage at the protests on January 6.
Sullivan’s attorneys filed invoices on Tuesday that showed CNN and NBC well-compensated him for his footage at the protests.
The video captures the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbit, an Air Force veteran, who was killed during the capital hill protests.
Sullivan is the founder of Insurgence USA, a far-left group formed after the death of George Floyd.
According to Insurgence USA’s website, its mission is to “provide you the truth. We are on the front-lines, giving you unedited raw footage, photos, and news of the insurrection here in America.”
Sullivan has faced charges in the past for inciting violence and failing to report a shooting to the authorities.
Documents related to Sullivan’s previous charges say in recordings, he is seen “kicking vehicles and threatening drivers, and directing protesters to block intersections.”
John Sullivan claims he was attending the protests as an investigative journalist and observing.
Although the videos he took at the capital say otherwise.
The Department of Justice’s documents says that video footage he recorded includes him egging people on and encouraging rioters.
He is heard yelling, “we did this together,” and “let’s burn this sh-t” down.
Jade Sacker, Sullivan’s accomplice, can be seen at the end of the video boasting about the footage the two captured that day, saying, “We did it.”
Shortly after Sacker’s comment, Sullivan says, “Is this not the best film you have ever made in your life?”
Sullivan posted a tweet two days before the protests on January 6 with tags like #BLM, #F–k12, and #riot.
The Twitter account associated has since been suspended for violent activity.
A YouTube video from August 28, 2020, shows Sullivan shouting at a crowd with some offensive language, “We have got to f–cking rip Trump out of office…repeat after me…it’s time for a revolution”.
After all of this transpired, CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper invited Sullivan and his accomplice Sacker on his show.
Cooper calls the couple “left-wing activists” and paints them in an innocent light.
These two are the farthest from innocent journalists.
They paint Trump supporters at the capital as domestic terrorists, but left-wing nutcases who took part in the same violence at the Capitol are innocent bystanders.
This is yet another instance of the hypocrisy of the left and the judgment they cast towards conservatives.
