REPORT: Trump Admin. Made History Fighting Sex Traffickers

by Graham Allen Team

Like him or not, Trump’s four years in office gave him plenty of time to accomplish a lot of work.

Trump made history by meeting with Kim Jung Un of North Korea.

He also combatted the Chinese trade wars and helped establish peace in the Middle East.

Despite the vast effects that Trump had in these instances, reports are coming to light that shows Trump made history in other ways as well.

One of which was the way that the Trump administration fought to end sex-trafficking.

Jaco Booyens, the founder of the non-profit SHAREtogether, which fights against sex-trafficking, said that President Trump had an enormous impact in fighting sex-traffickers.

“We’ve never had an office in the White House designated and dedicated to fighting sex trafficking. No former president in the history of this country has used his or her platform to denounce the exploitation of children and then appropriate funding. So we’ve seen an incredible impact over the years, over the last four years, particularly towards the support for law enforcement,” Jaco Booyens said.

Booyens says that Trump’s funding towards law enforcement officers gave task forces the money they needed to fight these crimes.

“We’ve seen a tremendous rise in the apprehension, the arrest of perpetrators and rescue of victims under the Trump administration, no question about it,” Booyens said.

While Jaco Booyens said that the future is unclear if fighting sex-trafficking will be as popular in the Biden Administration, he emphasized the impact that Trump had on our country.

“In these cases that you’re seeing now, such as California, and you’ll see some others coming out now, they’ve been 9, 10 months in the making under the Trump administration-in that mechanism of funding law enforcement appropriately, having special task forces.”

“We’ve seen a tremendous rise in the apprehension, the arrest of perpetrators and rescue of victims under the Trump administration, no question about it,” Booyens said.

Lately, Democrats have opposed the funding of law enforcement, so this may be an issue for the Biden Administration to help give these task forces the money they need.

Fox News reported in 2019 that the sex-trafficking that occurs in America is some of the worst in the world.

For that reason, it’s no shock the White House would put such an emphasis on this underground battle.

The reality is, this is not just an underground battle, it’s an underground war.

Day in and day out, law enforcement officers fight this war to retrieve the victims of such vile crimes.

Without the Trump administration’s funding to that branch of law enforcement, the war against sex-trafficking may be an uphill battle.

Just recently, 37 people were arrested in Phoenix for involvement in a sex-trafficking ring.

The fight is never over, and it is America’s hope that President Biden would prioritize this battle just as President Trump did.
