According to Demi Lovato THIS is offensive…

by Graham Allen Team

Not only does Demi Lovato no longer believe in genders, but she’s also taken a hard stance against something fun.

Lovato recently came out attacking gender reveal parties.

The pop-singer and Disney Channel alumni posted her anti-gender reveal party thoughts on Instagram late last week.

The post went to Lovato’s whopping 99 million followers and gathered 263 thousand likes.

While many people praised Lovato’s stance, some fought back.

Filip Filipi wrote in the comment section, “This has gone too far,” which collected almost 29 thousand likes.

Another commenter said, “Or maybe they are fun for an expecting mother.”

Lovato republished the post but praised the original author in the caption.

Vote Now: Should the United States Enforce Term Limits on Members of Congress?

“Thank you for sharing your knowledge and educating us always,” Lovato said.

The rest of the caption read this:

“This is not about being politically correct, it’s about being correct. The refusal to acknowledge this stems from a misunderstanding of what transphobia is.

Transphobia is not just prejudice or violence against an individual trans person, it is a belief system that presumes non-trans people to be more “natural” than trans people. Only individual people can self-determine their gender.”

Lovato has been a recent advocate for the trans community after coming out with a “very fluid” sexuality in March of 2018.

In June of 2017, Lovato wrote a letter to the LGBTQ community that said, “When I hear about discrimination and setbacks, that truly breaks my heart. I struggle with wrapping my head around the fact that we live in a world where love and equal rights still have to be questioned or discounted.”

“You all have been a huge part of my life and my existence. You inspire, empower, and encourage me every day, and I will continue to stand with you and will give you all the same and more in return,” Lovato said.

Demi Lovato attempts to “educate” folks on social media about transphobia, but is it truly education if it is misinformation?

Instagram has yet to fact-check the posts despite it being scientifically correct or not.
