TRASHED: National Guard ‘SICK’ after being fed THIS in D.C.

by Graham Allen Team

Several members of Michigan’s National Guard are FURIOUS with the meals provided while they served in Washington D.C.

The National Guard was mobilized to D.C. to protect the Capitol during Biden’s inauguration.

The story broke on Tuesday through local Michigan news outlets before making it to the headlines of significant members of the media.

Complaints even went all the way through Michigan’s congress, including their Democrat Governor, Gretchen Whitmer.

Whitmer claims she went on to notify Acting Secretary of the Army, John E. Whitley.

Whitley found out about the issue on February 17th, almost two weeks ago.

Those in contact with Michigan’s governor reassured her that the issue would be dealt with and the problem would be fixed.

Even after the problem was supposed to be fixed, more complaints continued to come in.

The food was reportedly so bad that service members were forced to go purchase food on their own dollar.

Many of those serving in D.C. were afraid that if they ate the food distributed to them, it would make them sick.

The complaints were not only accurate but also sickening.

Our heroes, service members, and people who defend our freedoms were served undercooked meals that reportedly made many of them sick.

Another complaint that came out described the food that the National Guard received apparently contained “metal shavings” inside them.

The Daily Mail showed pictures of the metal shavings, and several more complaints were made to back up this claim.

Several lawmakers were not happy with these complaints and immediately spoke out.

“It is completely unacceptable that our men and women serving in Washington D.C. are being hospitalized due to the food they are being provided,” the lawmakers’ letter said.

“We understand that the decision was made to provide contracted meals to support the entire federal response stationed at the Capitol. However, it is clear that these contracted meals are poorly prepared, oftentimes inedible, and highly inadequate to support our soldiers,” the letter continued.

The problem was supposed to be solved weeks ago; however, complaints continued to come in this past weekend.

Legislators in Michigan are calling for their Guard members to be served a per diem to cover meal costs instead of government-provided food.

In a message received by lawmakers, those on the scene described “multiple soldiers” getting sick from the food provided.

Other soldiers threw away their food because they were concerned they would also be sick.

Detroit News shared this photo describing what the National Guard was receiving:

Not usually how you treat those who work twelve-hour shifts defending our country.

One of the messages read:

“Morale is very bad; many have served overseas and cannot believe the quality of food they are being fed here.”

One Michigan lawmaker said he heard rumors that half of the food was being discarded due to its poor quality.

That Republican legislator out of Michigan, Representative Huizenga, ate with his states’ Guardsmen and said the food quality was so bad that “they couldn’t even eat them.”

25,000 members of the Guard were stationed at the Capitol after the riots on the Capitol steps.

Fox News reports that 6,000 could remain there until mid-March.

This is no way to treat the people who are defending our country.

Lawmakers could easily turn this treatment around in a snap of their fingers, but some are too concerned about their $1.9 trillion COVID relief plan.

What do you think about the way our nations heroes are being treated?
