CAITLYN JENNER COULD REPLACE GAVIN NEWSOM…
Since the SUCCESSFUL, attempt to unseat and recall Gavin Newsom, the potential open seat is adding a lot of competition to who could be the next Governor.
One of the most notable people to potentially run for Governor of California is the former Olympian, Caitlyn Jenner.
Caitlyn Jenner has reportedly been meeting with Republican operatives in the state looking at what her chances could be if she were to run for Governor of California.
The former man, known as ‘Bruce Jenner’ who was the patriarch and now another matriarch to the Kardashian family transitioned into a woman in April of 2015.
Despite being a member of the transgender community, Caitlyn Jenner is known for her conservative view points when it comes to politics.
Other than being a celebrity on the show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner is known for her time as a man during the 1976 Olympics as a Decathlete STAR.
There has been no official statement coming out of the Jenner team, however, these reports that the HUGE star is meeting with notable Republican campaign operatives signals a MAJOR chance that Jenner could run.
Jenner is notoriously a conservative minded celebrity (as far as conservatives in Hollywood goes), and she even supported Donald Trump openly until about 2018.
The specific operative that she met with is known as Caroline Wren. Wren worked with Jenner previously through their time working with the American Unity Fund.
The American Unity Fund is a conservative and Republican organized coalition that focuses on the LGTBTQ+ community within the GOP movement.
In February, Jenner’s team announced that she would not be running for Governor but things may have shifted given the recent revelations. Read their ORIGINAL statement below:
Caitlyn is not running for governor, has never considered running for governor and is very happy doing the work that she is doing to promote LGBT rights and spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 10 children.”
Jenner publicly shocked the world when she announced that she had voted for Donald Trump to be President in 2016. Jenner walked it back later on saying that she was “disappointed” and called Donald Trump the “worst president we have ever had” in an interview.
In order to run for the seat, Caitlyn Jenner would need to garner 1.5 million signatures in California or 12 percent of the voters in the gubernatorial election.
Given that she has almost 11 million followers on Instagram, getting that many signatures wouldn’t be a huge deal.
While some say her chances at winning would be slim, Jenner’s left-leaning twist on the Republican party could result in flipping the state to a red state.
If California ever had a shot to return back to conservatives ways, this would be it. Jenner may differ some in the belief’s of many conservatives, but given that EXTREME left leaning policies that Newsom has instituted, Caitlyn Jenner may be the answer for many conservatives who long for Republican leadership in California…
