When you’re a ‘political activist,’ it is much easier to advocate for that might adversely affect society as a whole when you know for certain you’re not going to be impacted one iota.

That’s what we always think when we hear some lame-brain well-to-do leftie calling for “defunding the police.” Take former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, for instance.

Kaepernick’s guy who legitimately had a promising football career ahead of him, but after a mediocre season, he instead chose to become an activist and started taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem. And while he is entitled to his view and his First Amendment right to speak and express himself freely, he is not entitled to his own set of facts: There is no such thing as “systemic racism” among police aimed at young black males, and no amount of shouting in opposition is going to change that fact.

Nevertheless, to this day Kaepernick appears to believe it. Worse, he’s pushing a public policy that will have real-world deadly effects on his fans but not him because he’s got the money to hire private security.

The former San Francisco 49ers signal-caller has managed to get a book published full of essays arguing against prisons and for the defunding of all police departments, as TMZ reports:
