Ron DeSantis Claims America Wants ‘Freedom Over Faucism’ In Viral Rant

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis went off this week when talking about Dr. Anthony Fauci.

During an interview on Fox News, DeSantis said Floridians chose “freedom over Faucism” and that the state is better for it.

“In Florida, we chose freedom over Faucism. He was somebody that fearmongers about schools. He did not support four when we had our kids in school in person. I think he was wrong about masks and asymptomatic spread,” DeSantis said.

“It was clear to me after pretty short time this was all about himself and his own image and for me, a look at that magazine cover it with him lounging by the pool with the sunglasses on, you know, right in the midst of a pandemic and it was almost like a moment for all of the people who were chasing under his lockdowns and get he seemed to be having the time of his life,” he added.

Laura Ingraham asked: “That you have any interact with him or his office?”

“Actually in the early part that we did. So January and February, I think almost every governor, I mean, we viewed him as the authority. He was being held up as that. We listen to him. We worked with him as we got into March, you know, we were working with the task force,” DeSantis said.

“But I think it was pretty clear with the data starting to come in in April in particular, you know, I departed from what the task force was recommended — recommending. We’ve worked to open up schools. I think we had less interaction. I know he was a very involved with a lot of governors every step of the way,” he added.

“Certainly, like New York and some of the states that have the nursing home policy, he was intimately involved in things like that but he was a big believer in the hospital models that was funded by Bill Gates and those models were grievously wrong,” he continued.

“But I know he was a believer in that. He was also a believer in the imperial college model that Neil Ferguson had done, which was disastrously wrong and because a lot of panic both in the United Kingdom and United States,” DeSantis concluded.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded to the recently released emails from Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The White House defended Fauci following the release of 3,200 pages of emails – including exchanges where he cast doubt on the lab leak theory and offered guidance on masking he would later reverse.

Fauci slapped back at critics and defended himself in an appearance on CNN Thursday.

“I think is quite farfetched that the Chinese deliberately engineered something so that they could kill themselves as well as other people. I think that’s a bit far out,” he said.

“I have always said and will say today to you … that I still believe the most likely origin is from an animal species to a human,” Fauci said.
