Lawmakers Begin To Sound The Alarm On Border Developments: ‘Worst I’ve Ever Seen’

Several Republican lawmakers are warning that the migrant crisis at America’s southern border is about to get a lot worse if Democrats continue with their open-borders policies.

“It’s the worst I’ve ever seen it,” Texas GOP Rep. Roger Williams told The Epoch Times.

“You’ve got people that that are coming through here illegally, they need to be coming through the ports of entry, not between the ports of entry. We’ve got an administration that is actually inviting them to come. And some, many of them, think that they just touch the soil of the United States, they’re citizens,” Williams added.

Republicans are demanding the Biden administration enforce stronger border policies.

“This philosophy of open borders is going to be the destruction of our great democratic republic that we’re all so proud of and have enjoyed the liberties and freedoms of past generations and to pass it on to future generations we’ve got to have a secure border. If we don’t have that secure border, this country is in very dire straits and in grave danger of destruction,” Texas GOP Rep. Brian Babin said.

Williams said he believes Democrats’ inaction at the border will cost them in the 2022 midterm elections.

“This is going to be one of the things that will defeat them in 2022, is the lack of border security, and the lack of doing your job to secure the border, the sovereignty of our country,” Williams said.

Former Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Ron Vitiello is calling out Joe Biden for directly being involved in creating and allowing the border crisis to worsen by the day.

During an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Vitiello said the “root cause” of the border crisis is Biden’s decision to reverse several immigration policies enacted by Donald Trump.

“Working with Guatemala, working with the Northern Triangle on governance and anti-corruption activities, that’s all well and good, but that’s not going to stop the surge that’s occurring on the border right now,” Vitiello said.

“We’ve encouraged people to send or bring their children to the border and the root cause of the chaos is the reversal of the policies,” he continued.

An explosive new report from Fox News reveals that a whopping 180,000 illegals have crossed the border in May.

Below is a transcript of the Fox News segment, via Grabien:

They are certainly not getting a break on this Fourth of July holiday weekend. Take a look at this video yesterday. This is something that plays out here almost every day, a group of 80 my grands that were apprehended after they illegally crossed and gave themselves up to border patrol. These are mostly family patrol units.

That’s part of the reason why Texas governor Greg Abbott put out a call to help. States like Florida, Nebraska, Iowa, and Idaho are sending enforcement out to help with the situation. Take a look at the live fox drone. You can see the incomplete border wall. That’s why this spot has been a hotspot where migrants like to come over. What is happening now, all eyes waiting for border patrol to release numbers. 180,000 in may. We’ll see what happens in June.

A whopping 500,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border into the United States since Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris as the “border czar.”

According to the Washington Free Beacon, only three months have passed since Harris took on the responsibility and the half a million figure only refers to those who have been apprehended.

Let’s repeat that: we are only aware of 500,000 illegals who have been caught at the U.S.-Mexico border in the last three months.

Image how many got into the country that we do not know about.

Data from CBP says around 180,000 immigrants are being caught per month.

In April agents arrested 178,854 illegal immigrants, the highest monthly figure for 21 years. That figure was then surpassed in May as agents apprehended 180,034 illegals.
