Nikki Haley Gives 2024 Insight; Claiming She’s ‘Loyal To Trump’

Former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley fueled 2024 rumors recently when she went after Donald Trump.

After extreme blowback, now Haley is trying to pucker up to Trump.

While speaking to host Sandra Smith on Fox News, Haley said that she would not launch a presidential campaign if Trump were to run for the White House again.

SMITH: “All right, I’d love to talk to you about that more, but we had CPAC over the weekend, we had the straw poll last night. I was dying to ask you about it. Donald Trump winning that straw poll by a long shot, 70%. Ron DeSantis garnering I believe it was 21% of that, a far second place behind. I ask you every time, are you running in 2024? Is the answer different today, Nikki Haley? Because nobody else in that straw poll managed to go above 1%.”

HALEY: “Well, I think President Trump’s voice will be needed for a long time. He’s a valuable voice for our party. I think he will continue to lead on multiple levels. I don’t think I have to make a decision until 2023. If the President ran, I would never run against him. I’m loyal, I support him, I always have. He’s a friend. But I think right now we have to understand that 2024 won’t matter if we don’t win 2022. House, Senate, governors’ races have never been more important than they are right now. We need to make sure we are rallying. We need to make sure that we win these races. The left has swung the pendulum so far left, we need to take the opportunities in hard and easy races to go and make sure we take the House and the Senate back.”

SMITH: “I’m sure you hear that a lot of people want to see you run.”

HALEY: “You know, I hear that, but I think it’s too early. You know, I think if you look at the situation, a lot can change in a year. I think we need to keep our eye on the ball and our eyes need to be on what do we do to stop the bleeding of Biden. And I’ll tell you, every day that Biden and Kamala are in office is another day that Republicans come together. Elections have consequences, we need to remember this.”

Now, this is the exact opposite of what she was saying a few months ago.

During an interview with Politico, Haley said she was “disgusted” by Trump’s comments and actions regarding the Jan. 6 “Stop the Steal” rally.

Haley told Politico:

“Fast forward, I’m watching the television the morning of the 6th and I see Don Junior get up there. And then I hear the president get up there and go off on Pence. I literally was so triggered, I had to turn it off. I mean, Jon [Lerner] texted me something and I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t watch it. I can’t watch it,’ because I felt the same thing. Somebody is going to hear that, and bad things will happen.”

I asked Haley whether she has spoken to Trump since January 6. She shook her head.

“When I tell you I’m angry, it’s an understatement,” Haley hissed, leaning forward as she spoke. “Mike has been nothing but loyal to that man. He’s been nothing but a good friend of that man. … I am so disappointed in the fact that [despite] the loyalty and friendship he had with Mike Pence, that he would do that to him. Like, I’m disgusted by it.”

Since her comments, Haley has been dealt two major blows as things are starting to backfire on her in a major way.

First, she attempted to get a meeting with Trump and he denied her request.

Trump flat-out refused to meet with Haley or even give her the time of day.

Secondly, Haley was not invited to speak at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference next week, but Trump was the keynote speaker.

In other words, her comments have boxed her out from prominent Republican circles.

And now she is trying to clean up her mess and suck up to Trump because she wants to run for president in 2024.
