Former DHS Security Official Claims Biden Is “Fooling” Americans With A “Charade” At The Southern Border

Former Homeland Security Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, who served under President Donald Trump, is revealing that the Biden administration is using tricks to hide the “invasion” at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“This entire charade is intended to fool the American people into believing this administration is actually protecting and managing our Southern border – nothing could be farther from the truth,” Cuccinelli said.

“With record-high numbers month after month, this administration is doing nothing short of facilitating an invasion of this country in violation of its obligation to the states to protect them from invasion under Article IV, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution,” Cuccinelli added.

Migrant apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border are getting worse by the day and even worse month over month.

U.S. Border Patrol agents have reported that in July, agents apprehended nearly 210,000 migrants who illegally crossed the border from Mexico.

This represents an increase of 420 percent compared to July 2020.

“CBP continues to take necessary measures to safely manage the Southwest Border and protect the health of communities, personnel, and migrants themselves, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Commissioner Troy Miller said.

“Despite the ‘necessary measures,’ the apprehension of migrants illegally crossing the border from Mexico has drastically increased every month since President Joe Biden took office in January and reversed the highly successful programs put in place during the Trump administration. In February, President Biden’s first full month in office, apprehensions jumped to 97,642. Since the end of January, apprehensions jumped from 75,142 to 199,777 — an increase of 142 percent in six months, according to the CBP’s July Southwest Land Border Encounters report,” Breitbart reported.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reported apprehending 188,829 illegal migrants in June.

In July, Border Patrol revealed they apprehended 210,000, which broke the previous record the month before.

The total for the fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30, has reached 1.3 million.

The last time border apprehension numbers reached 1 million was in 2006.

Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies argued that the final numbers “will show that the border crisis is going from record high to record high in an upward climb into a red-zone crisis that will defy any control, short of a radical about-face by the Biden administration.”

Bensman said Border Patrol facilities “are overrun in the crisis’s Texas epicenter, as are hundreds of border communities that have rarely experienced anything like the steadily worsening chaos of wandering immigrants; high-speed car chases; crime; fear of Covid; and widespread insecurity.”
