Leo Terrell Shows Why He Thinks Newsom Is Doomed In Recent Interview

by Graham Allen Team

Conservative commentator Leo Terrell is not mincing his words when it comes to California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom.

During an interview Wednesday night on Fox News, Terrell and host Sean Hannity discussed the recall election against Newsom and how he’s closer than ever to be removed from his seat.

HANNITY: “Great job, Gavin. I hope you enjoy the restaurants that you went to when others couldn’t, or the fact that your kids had in-person learning by the rest of California didn’t, same with summer camps and every other Covid hypocrisy you’re involved in. Here with reaction, Leo 2.0 Terrell. I see a guy that is only angry, but a guy that seems a little desperate and worried that maybe, you know, your endorsed candidate Larry Elder or Caitlyn Jenner or somebody is going to beat him.”

TERRELL: “Let me tell you right now, that’s a total meltdown. Gavin Newsom is too radical for Democrats in California. And what’s happening is, he has been told the truth. Democrats want him out, Republicans, blacks, white, brown, 54-41, Hispanics want him out. And you know what, Sean? He’s lying to himself. He is disconnected to mainstream people living in California. He said crime is going down. He just let out a murderer of a mentally disabled man who was buried alive. He welcomed homelessness here. We are the capital of homelessness. This man has basically kept kids, people of color, of all color, out of school. He has destroyed California. Last year was the first time I wanted to leave California. He’s been told the truth. He is unlikable, and people of all parties, colors, ethnicity want him out.”

While speaking to the Sacramento Bee, Newsom said he had no regrets about his tenure in office or any of the decisions he has made, particularly regarding draconian lockdowns for over a year.

And a new poll reveals that he should be very worried about the possibility that he will be ousted from the governor’s mansion.

According to a new UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll, 47 percent of likely voters in California support removing Newsom from office.

The poll found that 50 percent oppose the move, which is still not great news for a Democratic governor in arguably the most liberal state in the country.

Last month, Newsom got slapped with more bad news in his fight against a recall effort.

Judge James P. Arguelles ruled that Newsom will not be able to label himself a “Democrat” on the recall ballot this September after his team made a filing error and omitted his party preference.

In other words, Newsom’s team forgot to state on the paperwork that he wanted to be listed as a Democrat.

Newsom’s team sued the California Secretary of State so that he could correct the error.

Arguelles denied Newsom’s request and held that the recall election will take place on September 14, 2021.

Organizers for “Recall Gavin 2020” gathered well over the necessary 1.5 million petition signatures, which gives Californians the chance to vote Newsom out of office.

Newsom has imposed some of the most drastic restrictions in the entire nation in terms of lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, and restrictions on businesses, all of which have done little to mitigate the spread of the virus in the Golden State.
